#IPD18, la journée internationale de l'impression
Le 17 octobre n'est pas officiellement une journée dédiée à l'impression comme la Journée mondiale de l'environnement ou encore la Journée mondiale contre le cancer. L'International Print Day est une initiative lancée en 2014 par la communauté graphique pour le secteur au niveau global. Depuis, elle est réitérée chaque année et attire principalement des participants des pays anglophones. Mais de la France aux Pays-Bas, l'action suscite aussi quelques réactions.
La journée événement vise à partager des connaissances et à interagir avec le monde de l'impression et la communauté marketing pendant 24 heures sur les réseaux sociaux, principalement sur Twitter. L'événement est l'occasion de fournir aux participants des informations sur des entreprises du secteur, produits et services et de créer des opportunités de networking. Cette édition n'a cependant pas été aussi prolifique que les années précédentes. Par rapport à l'année record en 2015 (7795 tweets, 27 millions de profils touchés, 1362 contributeurs), on note une baisse de participation. 3713 tweets, 17 millions de profils touchés et 729 contributeurs ont été recensés cette année sur Twitter.
Les tweets dédiés à l'IPD ont notamment porté sur les statistiques et faits relatifs au secteur graphique ainsi qu'à l'autopromotion.
